Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own Claude subscription?
Yes. Aurora runs Claude Code on your computer using your own Claude account, so you pay Anthropic separately for usage. We recommend Claude Max: running several agents at once uses your limits fast, and on smaller plans you'll hit the 5-hour limit sooner.
Does my code leave my computer?
Aurora runs locally and doesn't send your code to our servers. Your agents talk to Claude the same way Claude Code does today.
How is this different from Claude Code Agent Teams?
Agent Teams is built into Claude Code and is experimental. Aurora adds what it doesn't: a visual grid of terminals, a CTO that manages your usage limits, a catalog of 75 roles, WhatsApp control, and Windows support for the grid.
How is it different from Conductor or Cursor?
Conductor is a Mac app; Cursor is an IDE with its own usage billing. Aurora is a team you direct: a CTO agent, a role catalog, and your own Claude subscription.
Is it allowed to use my Claude subscription this way?
We're confirming Anthropic's terms for third-party tools before we launch. That's why we're taking a waitlist first. If anything changes how Aurora connects to Claude, we'll tell you here.
Which systems does it run on?
Windows today. It's a desktop app, not a website.
How does WhatsApp control work?
You connect your own WhatsApp to Aurora by scanning a QR code. Then you can message Aurora to request work or approve decisions. It uses an unofficial WhatsApp library, so there's a small risk WhatsApp limits the number.
What happens after I join the waitlist?
